I was asked recently to make a cake. For somebody else. I was definitely feeling a bit of pressure because holy cats! What if it doesn't turn out? It's one thing if a cake I make for one of my OWN kids turns out to be an epic fail (can we say topsy-turvy spaceship cake anyone?), but I'd feel terrible if I made a mess out of someone else's cake. Thankfully the cake turned out and everybody was happy. Phew! Thank you to my dear friend (and the birthday boy's mom) Michelle A. for the wonderful photos!
